CEC gives 48 hours to seven candidates to pay election pledge

At a meeting today, Armenia’s Central Electoral Commission gave seven out of eight presidential candidates, whose registration documents were incomplete, 48 hours to pay the election pledge. 

Physicist Mher Hayrapetyan submitted payment receipt of AMD 1,000. He offered CEC to accept a guarantee amounting to AMD 50,000 to secure that he will pay the sum required for being registered as a presidential candidate (AMD 8 million).

Earlier, CEC sent a notification to eight candidates who have not submitted a complete set of documents: Taron Abrahamyan, Robert Aharonyan, Ruben Ayvazyan, Mher Hayrapetyan, Aram Harutyunyan, Narine Mkrtchyan, Pavlik Sargsyan, Robert Simonyan.
