Hayrikyan not to apply to Constitutional Court

Presidential candidate Paruyr Hayrikyan is not going to apply to the Constitutional Court for postponing the presidential elections, although he has such a possibility, Hayrikyan’s lawyer, Levon Baghdasaryan, told a news conference. 

Presidential candidate, chairman of National Self-Determination Union Paruyr Hayrikyan was shot and wounded by unknown gunmen in Yerevan at 23:30 local time on January 31. He was taken to Surb Grigor Lusavorich Medical Center, where he underwent surgery on February 1. A criminal case was opened in connection with the incident, investigated by the National Security Service of Armenia.
