Zhamanak: Carrefour not to enter Armenia

Russia-based businessman Samvel Karapetyan, owner of Dalma Garden Mall, has suspended the contract with the French Carrefour hypermarket chain, Zhamanak reports, citing its sources in the government. The same sources say that Republican MP Samvel Alexanyan, who imports first necessity goods to Armenia, made active efforts to prevent Carrefour from entering Armenian market. 

The paper reminds that Carrefour was to have opened in Armenia last November, according to an initial announcement.
