‘Day of Silence’ in Yerevan before municipal elections

Today is a “Day of Silence” in Yerevan ahead of municipal elections, set for Sunday, May 5.

Any kind of campaigning is banned today. 

Six political parties and one bloc run in the municipal elections, in which a new Yerevan Mayor will be elected. Mission party, Prosperous Armenia Party, Armenian National Congress, ARFD, Republican Party of Armenia, Orinats Yerkir Party and Barev Yerevan bloc, formed on the basis of Heritage party, participate in the electoral race.
