Inter fire Stramaccioni, hire Mazzarri

Inter have officially sacked Andrea Stramaccioni and brought in former Napoli Coach Walter Mazzarri, according to Football Italia.

 The announcement was made on the official Nerazzurri website, confirming a two-year contract.

“I am very sorry for Stramaccioni,” said President Massimo Moratti.

“I chose Mazzarri and I hope he will be the best option.”

The statement thanked Stramaccioni for his work and professionalism “in a particularly difficult year.”
