Iranian MFA: We hope for settlement of situation in Turkey without violence

We hope for the settlement of the situation in Turkey without violence, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Seyyed Abbas Araqchi is quoted as saying by Iran’s semi-official Mehr news agency. 

At a meeting with reporters Monday, the spokesman commented on the Turkish protests: “We think this is the internal issue of Turkey and we hope for the settlement of the situation without violence, thanks to the cleverness of the Turkish authorities.”

Asked if Ankara may change its position on Syria due to the current situation in Turkey, Araqchi replied: “As I have already said, this is the internal issue of Turkey.”
