The “New Names” 3rd International Festival closed this year with new achievements. The representative series of concert, which passed with full house, facilitated to the revealing performance mastery of the young participants. The festival became a true platform of bond for the participants arriving from around the world, press service of VivaCell-MTS reported.
The Festival has been initiated and organized by Armenian “New Names” program (directed by the President of the Association of Cultural Workers, Honored Worker of Culture Silva Mekinyan). Paying particular importance to the revealing of the talented young people and the development of their performance skills, VivaCell-MTS once again became the general sponsor of the festival.
“Everyone has an opportunity to express oneself in a certain area. One just needs to support in revealing talented people, and that’s what we do by cooperating with a broad range of organizations. Even 2 or 3 new names revealed every year will give us the right to proudly say that the festival has achieved its goal. Together, we contribute to bringing up a citizen, who is creative, courteous and capable of presenting his own view to the world,” said VivaCell-MTS General Manager Ralph Yirikian.
This year about 40 young (up to 18 years old) musicians and performers from Russia, the United States, Cuba, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Malta, Syria, Georgia, and Armenia participated in the festival. Most of them are laureates and participants of various international and national competitions and festivals and winners of scholarships, and have performed in different countries.
