Anzhi join race to sign Henrikh Mkhitaryan

Anzhi Makhachkala have joined the queue for Shakhtar Donetsk attacking midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan, according to Tribal Football.

The 24-year old Armenian ace has already attracted the interest of Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund and now mega-rich Russians Anzhi have thrown their hat into the ring.

Shakhtar chief executive Sergei Palkin said the club would consider offers for the £25million-rated Mkhitaryan.

“Henrikh is an important player in our team. Shakhtar wants to keep him, but we are willing to listen and consider all suggestions for a transfer,” Palkin told Russian newspaper Izvestia.
