Hraparak: Air Armenia could become national carrier

About 20 days ago, Air Armenia airline got permission to operate flights in 6 directions, Hraparak says. 

Nelly Cherchinyan, a spokesperson for Armenia’s General Department of Civil Aviation, says the permission is temporary and it is still early to claim that Air Armenia will receive the national carrier status.

Air Armenia CEO Arsen Avetisyan, however, did not rule out that the airline will get the national carrier status, adding that it will depend on the government’s decision.
