Zhamanak: RPA likely to nominate former Kapan mayor for Syunik by-election

The Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) will hold an executive body meeting on Thursday that will be attended by President Serzh Sargsyan who returned from vacation yesterday, Zhamanak daily says.  

According to the paper, the meeting will probably discuss the nomination of a candidate for parliamentary by-election in Syunik. In all probability, Serzh Sargsyan will inform the executive body members that former mayor of Kapan, Armen Karapetyan, will be the party’s candidate in the election.
