Cabinet meeting: Minimum wage to be set at AMD 50,000

The Armenian government rejected today the proposal of members of Prosperous Armenia parliamentary faction on setting the minimum wage at AMD 75,000 from January 2014. 

Armenian Labor Minister Artem Asatryan said in his remarks that the minimum wage will be set at AMD 50,000 from January 2014.

The minimum wage will amount to AMD 55,000 in 2015 and AMD 62,500 in 2016, he added.
