Hraparak: Yuri Vardanyan’s son hires lawyer

David Vardanyan, the son of Armenian Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs Yuri Vardanyan, arrested on drug trafficking charges has hired a lawyer, Hraparak reports. 

The paper notes that David Vardanyan said earlier that he cannot afford to hire a lawyer.

David Vardanyan faces criminal charges under the Criminal Code’s Article 268 part 3 (illegal turnover of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances in large amounts without the intent to sell) and Article 215 part 2 (smuggling of narcotic drugs, psychotropic, addictive, poisonous substances, radioactive or explosive materials).
