xxxxxxxAzerbaijani writer: We lost war to Babajanyan, Aznavour, Saryan, Parajanov, Saroyan, Aivazovsky
Azerbaijani writer and publicist Vahid Gazi who lives in Sweden writes in an open letter, which was published by the Qafqazinfo.az site, that days ago he had come across to a poster of a concert titled "The Winds of War", in the program of which Aram Khachaturian was listed among the European classical musicians.
"It reminded me of my childhood, when in Soviet films and TV programs, I was looking for last names of Azerbaijanis in the credits, and when I found one I could not understand whether it was Azerbaijani, or belonged to any other Muslim nation. But I could see Armenian and Georgian surnames in each program. At least, the conductor of the orchestra of the film was an Armenian. One day, I saw Vladimir Msryan’s name as the main hero in the film "Niccolò Paganini", I asked my father: "Armenians are everywhere, so many of them?" "They are not many. They are just developed, active, and cautious. They help and support each other. Therefore, one can see them everywhere," my father replied," Gazi tells.
The author notes that, as an adult, he began to notice it everywhere: from the central streets of New York City with sparkling stained glass restaurant called “Petrossian” to Swedish rural libraries, where the book on Armenian Genocide in Ottoman Turkey is advertised.
"Suite written by Aram Khachaturian in distant 40s for the Soviet film called "The Battle of Stalingrad", which was included in the repertoire of the orchestra of the small town, did not surprise me. I want to say that we have lost not only in Karabakh war; and we blame Russia, Iran, America, the Christian world, the Masons, everyone else but not us," notes the author.
According to Gazi, the Azerbaijanis not only did not know an Armenian, who did not differ from them, but also they didn't know an Armenian who lived on the other end of the planet. "We did not know that we lost Karabakh not only to the "people of miatsum." We lost the war against Marshal Bagramyan, in politics against Mikoyan , a dissidence to Paruyr Hayrikian, in the area of human rights to Alikhanian - Bonner, in classical music to Aram Khachaturian , in modern music to Michel Legrand , in palyin violin to Samvel Yervinyan, in duduk to Jivan Gasparyan , in oud to John Berberian , variety art to Charles Aznavour , in literature to William Saroyan, in painting to Aivazovsky, in cinema to Parajanov, in acting to Jigarkhanyan in the fashion business to Kim Kardashian, in making money skills to Kirk Kerkorian , in charity to Gerard Cafesjian, in film industry to Artem Mikoyan , in astrophysics to Hambartsumyan, in hairdressing to Movses, in manufactory to Ashot, in preparing pickles to Haykanush," the author says.
According to Gazi, Azerbaijanis believe the cause of all of this are the Armenian falsifications, their lies, deceit, Christianity, church, their usefulness to Russia, Iran, the United States, as well as the betrayal, but they never look for the reason in themselves. While each of the above-mentioned, in the author’s opinion, has achieved success, has become recognizable and has made recognizable his people, because a lot of Armenians, a cohesive society was backing him.
"They lend a hand to the falling one, give a shoulder to the one who gets on his feet. In science, politics, art, sports, military the five paved road for the success of one. They did not discredit the one who succeeds, they did not hinder, did not revile, did not dig a pit for anyone," said Vahid Gazi.
