Sambo athlete Ashot Danielyan becomes world champion

One of the leading members of the Armenian sambo team, Ashot Danielyan (NKR, 82 kg) won the gold medal at the World Sambo Championship in Saint Petersburg, beating Russia’s Sergey Ryabov in the finals, reported the official website of the Armenian Sports and Youth Affairs Ministry.  

Also, 4 Armenian sambo athletes won bronze in Saint Petersburg. They are Yerjanik Karapetyan (48kg), Sose Balasanyan (52kg), Tigran Kirakosyan (52kg) and Mavrik Nasibyan (74kg).
