Hraparak: Seyran Ohanyan to become YVU head

Rumors circulate in political circles that General Manvel who is currently undergoing treatment abroad after deterioration of his health condition may resign from the post of head of the Yerkrapah Volunteer Union (YVU). It is also being talked that Seyran Saroyan does not mind taking up that position, Hraparak daily says. 

The newspaper notes, however, that Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan has long been viewed as the most suitable candidate for the post of YVU head and in the event of General Manvel’s resignation Mr Ohanyan will assume that position, which is considered a non-political one but always appears in the center of political events.
