Artists’ Union of Armenia holding congress in Yerevan

The Artists’ Union of Armenia is holding its 18th congress in Yerevan. A report on the organization’s activities over the past five years is on the congress agenda. Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan issued an address to the opening session of the congress, wishing fruitful work. 

The Union will elect a new chairman today. Current chairman Karen Aghamyan has announced his candidacy for reelection. He has headed the organization for the past 15 years and has been reelected three times.
