The Armenian authorities are considering the possibility of putting into operation Kapan airport in Armenia’s Syunik province.
“The program is absolutely realizable. It will be realized in 2014 or 2015,” Syunik governor Vahe Hakobyan told Hraparak’s correspondent.
The program will cost AMD 800 million. The governor said that the funds will not be allocated from the country’s budget. He added that the airport may operate flights not only to Yerevan, but also to Batumi.
