Mourinho undergoes elbow surgery

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho underwent surgery on a long-standing elbow problem on Monday, the west London club have confirmed, according to Goal.com. 

The Portuguese, who oversaw a 3-1 victory over Manchester United on Sunday, is believed to have travelled to Paris for the operation.

The 50-year-old, thought to have aggravated an old childhood injury, will return to work on Tuesday as the side prepare for their FA Cup fourth-round clash with Stoke City on Sunday.
