Parliament rejects proposal to set up commission on gas issue

Today, the Armenian parliament voted 58-44 to reject the proposal of non-coalition forces to set up a commission for examining the issue of Armenia’s 300 million-dollar debt for Russian gas.

On February 3, the four non-coalition parliamentary factions – ARF Dashnaktsutyun, Prosperous Armenia, Armenian National Congress and Heritage – organized a signature campaign for setting up a special parliamentary commission to examine the above-mentioned issue.
