Zhamanak: Structural change planned in police

A structural change is planned in the police system of Armenia. According to Zhamanak daily, in particular, the positions of regional and communal police chiefs will be eliminated and municipal police will be created. 

The introduction of this system will lead to the creation of separate “small police stations” in administrative districts and provinces the heads of which, apart from the police chief, will be subordinate to the prefect or mayor.
