168 Hours: Authorities to reduce number of political parties

The Armenian authorities discuss the possibility of reducing the number of political parties in the country, 168 Hours writes. For this purpose, the State Register Agency of Legal Entities plans to carry out serious optimization in the political field. 

“Under the project, at the first stage, the number of parties registered in Armenia will be reduced to 10, however, in case of a fair optimization, under the current law, only 4-5 parties may remain in Armenia,” the newspaper writes.
