Armenian GM Krikor Sevag Mekhitarian (Brazil) scored 8 points out of 9 and took second prize among 383 participants at the rapid chess tournament in Caxias do Sul, Brazil. Mekhitarian was only half a point behind the winner, world champion Magnus Carlsen, armchess.am reported.
