Armenia’s Vladimir Akopian and Hrant Melkumyan have scored 6 points each after eight rounds at the European Individual Chess Championship ongoing in Yerevan. They share 2nd-14th places with several other participants. 

Russia’s Alexander Motylev remains in the lead with 7 points.
