Akopian vs Melkumyan game ends in draw

Vladimir Akopian and Hrant Melkumyan ended the game in a draw in round 9 of the European Individual Chess Championship ongoing in Yerevan. Russia’s Alexander Motylev, who was leading the tournament, drew with Alexander Moiseenko of Ukraine.

Motylev remains in the lead with 7 points. Hrant Melkumyan, Vladimir Akopian and Gabriel Sargissian share 4th-16th places with several other participants with 6 points.
