Constitutional Court begins examination of Law on Accumulative Pensions

The Constitutional Court of Armenia began a hearing to examine the constitutionality of several provisions of the Law on Accumulative Pensions. The case will be presented by MP from ARF Dashnaktsutyun Artsvik Minasyan, human rights defender Artak Zeynalyan and lawyer Mary Khachatryan. 

Under the law, citizens born after January 1, 1974 must make 5 percent compulsory payments from their wages to a private pension fund, with another 5 percent to be paid by the state.
