3.3 magnitude earthquake hits Armenia’s Stepanavan

Magnitude 3.3 earthquake hit Armenia at 2:58 pm local time on May 26, the Emergency Ministry reported. 

The earthquake occurred 14 km west of the city of Stepanavan.

The tremors measured 4-5 on the Richter scale in the epicenter. The earthquake hypocenter was at a depth of 10 km.

According to preliminary report, the earthquake was felt in Vanadzor, where it measured 4, as well as in Alaverdi, Stepanavan, Shirakamut (3-4) and Ashotsk (3).
