Haykakan Zhamanak: Stas Namin against setting up monument to his grandfather

Renowned Moscow-based musician Stas Namin is against erecting a monument to his grandfather, Anastas Mikoyan.

“I am firmly against erecting any monument. I believe that memory should live in people’s hearts and minds, not in granite or bronze,” he told Haykakan Zhamanak’s correspondent, in response to a request to comment on the decision of Yerevan Municipality to erect a monument to Anastas Mikoyan in Yerevan.
