Government increases benefits for disadvantaged families

The benefits paid to disadvantaged families in Armenia have been increased by AMD 1,000. 

Armenian Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Artem Asatryan told the cabinet meeting that the decision is due to the electricity price hike from August 1, 2014.

“The average monthly benefit has been increased by AMD 1,000 and now amounts to AMD 30,350 instead of the former 29,350,” he said.
