Magnitude 3.7 earthquake was recorded in Iran at 10:53 am local time on August 8, 28 km west of the city of Ahar. It measured 5 on the Richter scale in the epicenter, according to the Seismic Protection Service of Armenian Emergency Ministry.
The earthquake hypocenter was at a depth of 10 km. The tremors were also felt in the Armenian cities of Meghri and Agarak, measuring 2-3.
