Armenia to provide $100,000 aid to Iraqi Yazidis

The Armenian government will provide $100,000 aid to Iraq’s Yazidis. 

Deputy Foreign Minister Shavarsh Kocharyan told the cabinet meeting on Thursday that the Armenian President ordered to double the earlier planned amount of humanitarian aid.

According to Kocharyan, the President instructed the Armenian Foreign Ministry and the diplomatic missions to increase their efforts to present the problem at international instances.

In his words, the humanitarian aid will be delivered via UN bodies.
