Earthquake hits border area between Armenia and Georgia

Magnitude 3.1 earthquake hit the border area between Armenia and Georgia, 17 km northeast of Ashotsk, at 2:11 am local time on August 26, the Seismic Protection Service of the Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations reports.

The earthquake measured 4 on the Richter scale in the epicenter. The earthquake hypocenter was at a depth of 7 km. The tremors were felt in Bavra, measuring 3.
