Haykakan Zhamanak: Upper Lars highway may open to traffic on Aug. 31

Armenian Deputy Minister of Transport and Communication Arthur Arakelyan has told Haykakan Zhamanak that there is some progress in the construction work on Upper Lars highway closed due to a landslide on August 20.

“We have some news. The Georgian side told us that the land work is completed and only the reinforcement work is left. We hope to receive good news on August 31 and, as the Georgian side says, the traffic may resume on that day,” said the official.
