Levon Aronian at Sinquefield Cup

Armenian Grandmaster Levon Aronian performed unsuccessfully in the last three rounds of Sinquefield Cup in St. Louis, U.S. He lost to Vachier-Lagrave, then to Fabiano Caruana and Magnus Carlsen. Aronian shares the last two positions with Hikaru Nakamura with 1.5 points.

Caruana stays in the lead. He is followed by Veselin Topalov and Magnus Carlsen who have 2.5 points each. Vachier-Lagrave has 2 points.

Monday is a rest day in the tournament. Aronian will play against Nakamura in Round 6 on Tuesday.
