No school will be closed – official

We estimated that there will be about 40,000 first graders in the new academic year, but this number may still rise by September 15, Narine Hovhannisyan, head of the General Education Department of Armenia’s Ministry of Science and Education, told reporters on Monday. 

The education official stressed that no school will be closed in the country.

Mrs Hovhannisyan also said that all the schools in Armenia are equipped with a heating system.
