Armenian MFA strongly condemns terrorists’ destruction of Armenian Genocide Memorial Church

Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian has released a statement in connection with the destruction of the Armenian Genocide Memorial Church in Deir ez-Zor, the Foreign Ministry’s press service reports.

“We strongly condemn the terrorists’ destruction of the Armenian Genocide Memorial Church in Deir ez-Zor, where the remains of many victims of the Mets Yeghern are buried.

This monstrous crime against a shrine once again demonstrates the brutal nature of the so-called Islamic State terrorist group.

The international community should immediately stop and eradicate this contagion threatening the civilized humanity and block the ways of its supply, financing, support and sponsorship.”
