Bertrand Badré: Armenia is a reliable partner of World Bank

In Washington, Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan met with Managing Director and World Bank Group Chief Financial Officer Bertrand Badré and World Bank’s Vice President for Europe and Central Asia Laura Tuck.

The Prime Minister highly appreciated the cooperation with the World Bank, noting that during the twenty years of partnership, the WB has played a key role in the implementation of reforms in Armenia.

“Staying committed to the reforms agenda, we will continue the efforts aimed at raising the competitiveness and developing the economy of Armenia,” Mr Abrahamyan said.

Hovik Abrahamyan expressed confidence that the cooperation with the WB will be expanded, stressing that Armenia’s programs will maintain the highest performance level in the region.

Mr Badré stressed the importance of continuing the cooperation and noted that “Armenia is a reliable partner of the World Bank and we are happy to continue the cooperation to implement long-term projects.”

Laura Tuck noted, “The World Bank will continue supporting Armenia and helping advance the reforms.”
