Some roads barely passable in Armenia

All motorways were passable in Armenia as of 8:30 am today.

Sotk-Karvachar, Aparan-Spitak, some sections of Sisian-Goris, Vayk-Sisian, Yerevan-Sevan roads and Vardenyats mountain pass are barely passable due to black ice, Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.

There was wet snow in Syunik province as of 7:30 am. Road cleaning works are underway.

The Ministry recommends drivers to use winter tires.
