Armenia marks Social Worker Day

The Social Worker Day is marked on November 4 every year in Armenia.

Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan approved the respective decision at a cabinet meeting on January 22, 2009.

The social worker’s mission is to help people in difficult situations, to help families solve their problems.

In order to deal with social problems, the first specialized structures were created in Armenia in the early 1990s.

The social sector remains among the priorities of the country’s state policy.
