Armenian banks are optimizing their costs to resist challenges, Haykakan Zhamanak writes. The shutdown of branches of a number of banks in downtown Yerevan, due to high rent costs, is one of these optimization measures.

“The banks intend to open new branches in densely populated suburbs or provinces, where the rent costs are lower,” the newspaper says.
