Haykakan Zhamanak: Charentsavan mayor to hold football championship ahead of Genocide centenary?

Citing eyewitness reports, Haykakan Zhamanak writes that during a recent visit to Charentsavan town, Kotayk governor Aram Harutyunyan asked the municipal authorities about their plans ahead of the Armenian Genocide centenary.

Charentsavan mayor Hakob Shahgaldyan, the son of former Kotayk governor Kovalenko Shahgaldyan, reportedly offered to organize a football championship.

“This is how father and son Shahgaldyan have governed and continue to govern,” the newspaper comments.
