Armenian Genocide survivors to get higher pensions from April 1

The Armenian government on Thursday made a decision to raise the monthly pension of the people living in Armenia who have survived the Armenian Genocide in the Ottoman Turkey from 25,000 drams to 100,000 drams.

The decision will come into effect on April 1, 2015.

There are 33 people residing in Armenia who have survived the Armenian Genocide.
