Armenian grandmasters at U.S. Chess Championships

GMs Varuzhan Akobian and Samuel Sevian scored 5.5 points each out of 11 and shared 5th-7th places at the U.S. Chess Championship in St. Louis. Sevian raised his Elo by 18 points. GM Hikaru Nakamura became the champion with 8 points. 

WGM Tatev Abrahamyan scored 5.5 points and shared 4th-8th places in the U.S. Women’s Championship. GM Irina Krush won the champion’s title with 8.5 points, armchess.am reports.
