Armenian chess players at Sharjah Women’s Open

Two Armenian chess players - Armine Babayan and WFM Maria Gevorgyan successfully performed at a Women’s Open chess tournament in Sharjah, UAE.

Babayan scored 7.5 points out of 9, shared 1st-3rd places among 100 participants and took 3rd prize with additional points. Gevorgyan was half a point behind the winner, took 4th place and fulfilled the Woman International Master norm, according to armchess.am.
