Zhamanak: Karabakh conflict will be resolved when Azerbaijan and Karabakh join EEU

Speaking to Zhamanak newspaper, Russian political analyst Alexander Sobyanin said he does not see any domestic or foreign political factors that could lead to the resumption of hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh.

In his words, the talks about the resumption of the war are merely a provocation by Azerbaijani analysts. 

As regards the conflict settlement, Sobyanin believes it will become possible when Azerbaijan and Nagorno-Karabakh, like Armenia, join the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU). In his view, Azerbaijan’s accession to the EEU is possible in 2-2.5 years.
