Armenian government approves amendments to Law on Patent Payments

The Armenian government on Wednesday approved the draft law on making amendments to the Law on Patent Payments.

The draft law offers to replace the turnover tax in the Yerevan jewelry markets with patent payment in the amount of 35,000 drams, in regional centers – 25,000 and in border communities – 0 drams.

Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan underscored the importance of the amendment in terms of supporting the jewelry sector.
