Government raises socially vulnerable family benefits due to rise in power tariff
Benefits paid to socially vulnerable families will be increased to mitigate the impact of the rise in electricity tariffs in Armenia, Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan said at the government ession today.
2.5 billion drams will be allocated to compensate 105,000 families (400,000 people) for the tariff rise.
The prime minister stressed that no government, including the government of Armenia, wants a rise in tariffs, yet objective reality needs to be taken into account.
