Zhamanak: Samvel Karapetyan may abandon plan to buy Electric Networks of Armenia

Zhamanak’ paper writes citing its sources that in late September Russia’s Inter RAO UES – the owner of Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA) Company shall sell 50% of ENA shares to businessman Samvel Karapetyan who will assume management of ENA.

“Samvel Karapetyan was expected to become the owner of 100% of the company’s shares in the future. Yet yesterday the Armenian ‘electromaidan’ seems to have repeated, this time in conditions and a situation quite unfavorable for the authorities so it is hard to imagine that the company belonging to Karapetyan will be prepared to shoulder such a burden,” the paper notes.
