Haykakan Zhamanak: Dram may stop strengthening

‘Haykakan Zhamanak’ paper says that the Armenian currency dram strengthened by almost 2% in the past week. “The reason is not clear. According to some sources, seasonal procurements of grapes may be the reason. Grape procurement organizations exchange large amounts of dollars to pay for the commodity. If this opinion is true, the dram will soon stop strengthening and start to depreciate,” the daily writes.
