Head of Union of Wine-makers of Armenia: Brandy production declined by 20%

There was a 20% decline in Armenia’s brandy production, Chairman of the Union of Wine-makers Avag Harutyunyan told a press conference today. According to him, an unfavorable period began in September-October of last year.

“Unfortunately, we lacked will and opportunities to foresee the negative phenomena that followed the collapse of the Russian rule. So we now have to deal with the negative tendencies,” he said.

No official data has been released so far, the union head said.
