Zhoghovurd: Divorce is on the rise in Armenia

According to the National Statistical Service, 18,912 marriages were registered in Armenia in 2014. There were 3,756 divorces in 2013, ‘Zhoghovurd’ paper says.

There were 6,886 marriages and 1,683 divorces in Yerevan. The number of divorces declined by 183 in 2014 compared with 2013.  The lowest number of marriages in Vayots Dzor province  - 325 marriages (a decline by 33), and there were 76 divorces.
